Prometheus Night in Berlin, July 1 2026

Artists Against the Kremlin Vol. 2 continues the book series dedicated to the critical art of Russian-speaking artists. The new edition features the complete catalogue of the 2025 exhibition, artists’ statements, notes on the works, as well as curatorial and art-historical essays. The project was created with the support of Dialogbüro Vienna.

The almanac serves as an important testimony that a significant part of the Russian-speaking artistic community does not support the war in Ukraine or political repression in Russia. On the contrary, these artists speak out loudly, openly, and creatively.

The presentation will be hosted by the book’s authors and editors, together with artists based in Berlin.

You will have the opportunity to purchase the book among the first at a special price, as well as have it signed by the authors and participating artists.

The event will also feature a small garage sale: Prometheus Affordable Art Market. We will offer products from our previous events, including books, posters, and merchandise — so come prepared to find something at the best prices.

The programme will also include the lecture “100 Years of Protest Art in Russia: From Tsarism to Putinism”, prepared by Vladimir Shalamov for his 2025 presentation in Cambridge.
